Diversity Councils

Originally launched in June 2000, the diversity business councils have had a positive impact on driving our culture change.  They are led by senior executives and leadership teams, who have been committed to creating a more inclusive work environment.  The business councils focus on four (4) business goals: brand awareness/marketing; community involvement; retention & recruitment; personal & professional development, which support the Global Inclusion & Diversity Strategy.  Membership is open to all Motorola employees.

With the success of our diversity business councils, Motorola now has ample diversity councils being established within the regions, business units, and departments.  Presently, Motorola has 18 various forms of diversity councils.  Some are just being launched and others have been doing the work of global inclusion and diversity for a while.
