Motorola Taiwan a Shining Star
In recent weeks, Motorola Taiwan has been racking up the awards, and its stellar performance is not something that’s just a recent phenomenon. In 2000, it set a new record by recording $100 million On 9 June, Motorola Taiwan was honored with the country’s Cultural Benefactor Award, presented by the Republic of China’s own Premier Chang. The award is given to acknowledge those companies or organizations in Taiwan that actively promote, advocate and nurture a superior cultural and artistic environment. Motorola Taiwan actively encourages and supports creative works by artists that reflect Taiwanese culture and society. In so doing, it was rewarded with the highest award, the Golden Award. Lastly and perhaps most significantly, at the end of May, Motorola Taiwan received the Golden Cauldron Award by President Hsu, a distinction for the Best Corporation in the New Century for the Republic of China. Motorola Taiwan President, Tom Sun was also presented with a special gold plate for his individual contribution to making the organization the Best Corporation in Taiwan.
