Motorola in Indonesia
Motorola first established a Trade Representative Office in Jakarta in 1991. Due to the rapid growth of business in Indonesia, Motorola established a limited liability company, PT. Motorola Indonesia in 1995. Starting from a small office staff of 5 people in 1991, the Motorola staff has increased to more than 150 people, the majority of which are Indonesian nationals.
Indonesia has proven to be a solid market and business opportunity for Motorola. Products sold by Motorola are mainly used to develop the telecommunications infrastructure of Indonesia. In addition, the local presence created by Motorola is providing training and technology transfer. PT. Motorola Indonesia provides sales support and marketing for virtually all Motorola products including cellular telephones and systems, pagers and paging systems, as well as Two-Way radios and radio systems. Additional services provided include system engineering, site surveys and maintenance support.
